Spring is not a soft season. It is a season of change — things breaking through surfaces, colour arriving before the ground is warm enough for it, beauty existing in the specific form of something not yet fully arrived. The Remnants Of Spring Jacket carries that quality: a beige khaddar coat that looks like it has already been through a season and is more itself for it.
The base is a khaddar coach jacket — structured, with tilted pockets and a clean silhouette. Block-print patches are attached from underneath the outer layer, visible through openings in the shell, creating a peekaboo effect that shows the pattern inside the form rather than on top of it. A composed block print runs across the visible surface. A screen-printed RASTAH logo patch marks the chest.
The underside block-print technique is unusual — it rewards the wearer who knows it's there, and surprises anyone else who looks closely enough to find it. The composed block print on the surface works in the same register as the Haveli and Caravan Route pieces: designed specifically for these surfaces, not repeated mechanically. Tilted pockets break the jacket's symmetry in a deliberate way.
What remains after spring is not loss — it is evidence. The fragments that persist into summer are the ones that were most completely themselves. This jacket is that kind of remnant: permanent, particular, belonging to a specific moment but made to outlast it.
