Threads get gathered before they become fabric. This is the step before the loom — the act of collection, of bringing together what will be transformed. Gathered Threads T-Shirt exists at that moment: a black tee that carries RASTAH spelled out in multi-head embroidery, each letter a world of its own.
On a black jersey base, the front logo is worked in multi-head machine embroidery — but this is not a standard logo placement. The artwork is worked into each individual letter, so the name becomes a composition: the letters of RASTAH as containers for imagery, for motifs, for the visual language of the collection compressed into six characters. The density of thread and the intricacy of the work-within-the-work is visible at close range.
Black is the right backdrop for this kind of embroidery — it provides maximum contrast for the thread colours, maximum legibility for the detail embedded in each letter. The simplicity of the base makes the logo the entire statement. There is nothing competing with it.
Threads gathered become cloth. Cloth becomes a garment. A garment becomes a statement. This shirt traces that whole sequence in a single object, concentrating it all into the six letters at the front.
